As of today, 5 PhD students have already completed their studies under Kenneth's main supervision. All of them are currently holding academic positions in Massey University, University of Canterbury, Auckland University of Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (Malaysia) and Zhejiang University
Before joining Massey University, Kenneth held the following academic positions:
- Deputy Head of Department (Academic) (2015-2017) & Senior Lecturer (2010-2019), Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Auckland, and
- Instructor (2005-2007) & Lecturer (2007-2010), Department of Building and Construction, City University of Hong Kong.
He had taken up several service roles such as PG Advisor (Taught), Programme Co-ordinator of MEngSt (Construction Management), Departmental Representative for Misconduct, and Lecturers’ Representative in the Senate when he served the University of Auckland.
Kenneth is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) and Construction Manager (MCIOB). He is an internationally recognised academic in the field of construction engineering and management. He has already produced more than 100 research outputs, including international refereed journal articles, research monograph, book chapters and conference papers. Notably, two of his papers received the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) best paper award. His total number of citations is growing annually with the current H-index of 23 and over 1720 citations (As of March 2022 in Scopus). Currently, he is the Research Lead at the School of Built Environment.
