Johanna Emeney is a Cambridge graduate. She read Japanese and English Literature at Pembroke College from 1993-1996, and then completed a post-graduate diploma in education (PGCE) and MA. She has twelve years' experience as a senior school teacher, and has been a tutor at Massey since 2011, when she began her PhD. She has written two books of poetry (2011, 2017) and an academic text for Ibidem's Studies in World Literature, 2018). Her latest publication is a chapter in the Routledge Companion to Literature and Disability. She works for the Michael King Young Writers Programme as co-facilitator with Ros Ali.
