Sue is an Environmental Economist whose research sits at the interface between business and the environment. It has included market and non-market valuation of natural resources, climate-related impacts on agriculture, and the knowledge gap around environmental management in the context of small and medium enterprises in New Zealand. Sue is an invited member of the International Review Group of Standards New Zealand on the panel for ISO 14000 work on Environmental Management Systems. She is currently a NZ technical contributor to the development of two new international standards. One provides guidance for determining environmental costs and benefits and the other, requirements and guidelines for the monetary valuation of environmental impacts and related environmental aspects.
Sue is a member of Massey University’s Sustainability Advisory Group on and is on the Editorial Board of Small Enterprise Research.
