Classical World New Zealand

Humanities disciplines bring together the many different aspects of what it means to be human. The School of Humanities at Massey University asks fundamental questions about society and culture, and examines our individual and collective achievements, fascinations and follies in both the past and present.
Learning about and studying languages and cultures is excellent preparation for participating in our increasingly interconnected world. An understanding of where we have come from, and our beliefs, is developed in many of the disciplines offered in the humanities at Massey University.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in linguistics, languages, academic English, classical studies, history and philosophy.
Our staff have internationally recognised expertise. From the history and culture of ancient societies to the impact of digital technologies and modern language study, our research is diverse in form and approach.
