Consumer Insights Ltd offers tailored market research and consultancy. A spin-off company from Massey, their services include market scoping including qualitative and quantitative methods, and they are able to produce brand attribute maps, choice modelling and pre-launch forecasting. Walk-around immersive virtual reality is also available to test store layouts, shelf placement, category management, and pack design.

The Big Issues in Retail survey is conducted by Massey University’s Centre for Advanced Retail Studies (CARS) in collaboration with Monash University (Melbourne) and Retail NZ. It provides an overview of retailer confidence, concerns, proportion of online sales and more.

Jonathan joined Massey in 2014 after spending seven years at the Institute for Retail Studies (IRS), University of Stirling. He leads the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management and is the Director of the Centre for Advanced Retail Studies.
