Rebecca Gill, researching into Grow North

Rebecca is a senior lecturer in the School of Management and School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing at Massey University in New Zealand.

She studies occupational and work identity with particular attention to how place, space and location shape the work that we do and the way we think about it. She has previously studied innovation regions and ecosystems in the United States, specifically looking at how regions try to recreate versions of ‘Silicon Valley’ that draw from this popular model but also add their own unique, local twist.
