Programme studied: Bachelor of Aviation Management, Master Aviation Management and PhD Aviation Management
Massey Campus: Auckland
Bo Lin began his study at Massey in 2003 with a Bachelor of Aviation Management and he has since progressed to PhD level. His doctoral research focuses on Airline Strategic Alliances. One of the special features of studying at Massey is the multi-city campus structure which has enabled Bo to remain living in Auckland, while studying for his doctorate through the Palmerston North campus.
He says regular contact with his supervisor is easy via the Massey University intranet system and with face-to-face meetings when Bo travels to Palmerston North. Bo Lin credits his supervisor - Associate Professor Robert Yaansah - as being a real inspiration. "In his teaching Professor Yaansah calls on his previous extensive experience as the CEO of an airline and this makes him a most interesting and illuminating teacher and supervisor."
