Knowledge about human nutrition and the application of this knowledge are essential elements in maintaining a healthy society. In Massey's Bachelor of Science (Human Nutrition) you will learn about the composition of food, human requirements for nutrients, and how the body processes food and nutrients. You will also receive training in practical skills such as dietary assessment and body composition assessment. This will give you the basis of knowledge required for enhancing health and fitness in individuals of all ages, and in groups and communities.
The New Zealand government is actively investing in the education and professional development of the mental health and addiction workforce. Leadership for this growing and evolving workforce is needed. As a leader in the mental health and addiction field, you’ll promote and sustain the mental health and wellbeing of individuals, whānau and communities. The Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health and Addiction) provides the critical knowledge and engagement competencies required for DAPAANZ-accredited support workers. As a graduate, you may be eligible to apply for accreditation.
