Massey's Executive Education programmes are designed to create critically reflective practitioners able to make a positive contribution to the performance of New Zealand business.
We place particular attention on developing and enhancing our participants' capacity for self awareness and awareness of learning, and build learning capability.
Reflective capability is the ability and willingness to explore and investigate learning:
WHAT are we learning, and
HOW we are learning
It is a willingness to become 'consciously competent' about learning, and requires an understanding of the role reflection plays in learning. In approaching learning in this way executives not only learn about a topic or subject (e.g., strategy, governance or leadership) but also learn about themselves.
Learning therefore becomes transformational (rather than informational) as increased self awareness creates thoughtful, well informed and competent practitioners able to transform business.
