Massey University invites you to take part in a study investigating the impact of turmeric on markers of inflammation and metabolic health after a fatty meal.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in recruiting men who are:

  • 18 to 40 years of age
  • Healthy
  • Normal weight

What are the advantages of taking part in the study?

Participants will acquire knowledge and contribute to the scientific advancements of nutrition in the prevention of chronic diseases. In addition, feedback of results from the overall investigation and other information regarding the outcome of the research will be made available to you and will be posted as an individual letter at the completion of the study.

What will be involved if joining the study?

If you decide to take part, you will first need to answer some simple questions to see if you fit the study criteria. If you qualify, you will be asked to come in for 1x1hour assessment visit and 4 study visits. In each study visit, you will eat a meal containing Turmeric and give blood  before the meal and then for 6 hours after.
