We are the only 24-hour pet emergency centre in the central North Island. Our team is ready to provide excellent emergency and critical care treatment to your pet in our purpose-built, fully equipped facility.
In the event of an emergency call 0800 PET EMERGENCY (0800 738 363). We will tell you how to administer first aid and direct you to the centre.
When you come to the Pet Emergency Centre bring:
- Current medications
- Details of your pet’s usual vet
- Details of any recent veterinary treatment
- The name or container of any poison your pet has been exposed to
If your pet needs to stay, we will contact your vet when s/he reopens. You may return to your vet, or continue your pet’s care with us.
Your vet may suggest you bring your pet to the Centre for overnight monitoring and care. You will collect your pet the next day and return it to your vet.
Intensive and critical care
Your vet may refer your pet to our purpose-built, specialist intensive care unit. Your pet will receive continuous care from our highly trained and qualified specialists, vets, vet nurses and vet technicians. We will provide you and your vet with regular progress updates.
Payment is required at the time of consultation. If your pet is hospitalised, a deposit is required with full payment due when you collect your pet.
