Massey University, in partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), offers the Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours majoring in Food Product Technology at SIT's Dover campus in Singapore.
Students with approved diplomas from a polytechnic in Singapore can apply for exemptions and entry to Year 2. All other students, including A level students can apply for entry to Year 1.
The BFoodTech(Hons) degree is jointly awarded by both universities and is equivalent to Massey's New Zealand degree programme.
The joint programme is 3.7 years over 10 trimesters. Students with approved diplomas from a polytechnic in Singapore can apply for exemptions and entry to Year 2, meaning you can complete the degree in 2.7 years.
You can apply to start this programme in Year 1 or 2 and you will complete the Food Product Technology major.
Applications are open in February each year for a Trimester 1 start in September of the same year. Go to the Singapore Institute of Technology website for information on applying.
If you are interested in studying Massey's Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours degree programme at one of our New Zealand campuses and have completed a relevant diploma at a polytechnic in Singapore, you can apply for exemptions to allow you direct entry into Year 2. This enables you to complete the degree programme in two and a half to three years (depending on exemptions being approved).
You can choose between our two majors - Food Product Technology and Food Process Engineering.
