To ensure the highest quality of service and training the Centre for Psychology records assessment and treatment sessions provided by our intern psychologists. Other clinicians may, at times, wish to record sessions.
We will never record a session without your knowledge or permission. Your information will be treated confidentially, subject to the ethical guidelines on the limits of confidentiality provided by the Psychological Society of New Zealand’s Code of Ethics and Privacy Act 1993.
As we are a training clinic we may request that a session be observed by one of our placement students (5th year of training) completing postgraduate study in clinical psychology. This is strictly voluntary and you are under absolutely no obligation to accommodate such a request. Declining such a request will have no impact on the service provided to you.
