128.200 Healthy Workplace Design (15 credits)
An ergonomics (human factors) approach to designing healthy workplaces by improving well-being, preventing ill-health and enhancing work system performance, using the World Health Organisations’ framework model, with a practical focus on analysis of musculoskeletal discomfort, pain and injury, computer workstation design and selected industries.
Note(s): Taught online by STREAM. This course is a useful prelude to postgraduate study in Ergonomics/Human Factors and an excellent complement to studies in occupational health and safety, public health, health sciences, exercise, sport, rehabilitation, design, product development, engineering, technology, nursing and management.
