133.167 Music Entrepreneurship 1 (15 credits)

In this course students are introduced to creative strategies for managing and promoting a music event or project from the localised ‘DIY’ perspective. Students gain basic knowledge and understanding of planning, budgeting, rudimentary accounting, contracts, risk assessment, marketing, and evaluation for music events and projects. Students are also introduced to legislation relating to health and safety, working hours directives and licensing.
