212.453 Fashion Design Research and Development (30 credits)
Research methods, practices and processes for fashion design and their application through a research design project.
Note(s): This course begins with expansive exploration of visual and theoretical sources to help identify and establish an original research topic relating to fashion design. A range of research methods and techniques are explored which will be used to develop a topic through to Major Project in semester 2. Variations of research types are experienced, including research through design, experimentation and iteration, gradually building a research proposal and design solution.
- Prerequisite(s): B- average over 212.358 and 237.330; or B- average over 212.381and 212.310; or PGDipDes admission
