Veterinary Structure and Function I

This course follows on from the anatomy and physiology courses in BVSc1 (227.108 and 227.109). Together these courses consider the relevant aspects of the structure and function of domestic animals.

Course notes

This course is only available to BVSc Year 2 students. Students will be required to be at Massey University until the end of each semester. The examination dates posted on the University website do not include practical or other SoVS-organised examinations, most of which take place after the formal written examinations. Travel plans should therefore be made on the basis of being at Massey until the semester end date unless and until the Undergraduate Programme Office advises that an earlier departure date will be permitted.

Completion of all online revision quizzes, online course work tests and assignments is compulsory. A minimum average of 65% in the course work tests is required to pass the course. Attendance at all laboratory and case-based classes is compulsory. Non-attendance without exemption having been granted constitutes failure in the course, regardless of marks obtained in assessments.

General progression requirements

You must complete at least 45 credits from 100-level before enrolling in 200-level courses.
