300.110 Te Reo Whakahoahoa: Socialising in Te Reo (15 credits)
An introduction to elementary Māori language structures, Māori terminology and the correct pronunciation of the Māori language.
Note(s): This course is intended for students who have little or no prior experience with Te Reo Māori. If you have NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Māori OR equivalent experience, and you are intending to complete a specialization in Māori Studies, then you may be eligible to receive credit for this course under the University’s Recognition of Formal and Informal Prior Learning Regulations. If you have NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Māori OR equivalent experience and you are intending to complete a specialization in Te Reo Māori, then you should enroll in 300.111 as your first Te Reo course.
