Specialise in Health for your Master of Analytics at Massey

Massey’s Master of Analytics (Health) will equip you with the skills to turn data into information that can be used to make policy and business decisions within health-related industries.

This qualification has a unique focus on learning how to utilise a multi-system, multi-sector approach to answering national-level health and wellbeing questions.

You may come from an information technology /data science background and have found yourself in the health sector. Or you may be in a health-related role or qualification, but wish to gain in-depth skills in analysis of data. This qualification will help you progress your career.

This is a shortage of qualified people to analyse and turn the large quantities of data being produced, into improved health services and outcomes. This qualification has been developed in conjunction with the health industry. Your new skills will be highly sought-after by a wide range of employers.

You will gain an understanding of the nature of the wider health and social context, honing your critical thinking skills and learning to develop health-related research. You will also be able to project manage data and convey complex ideas to a non-professional audience.

Privacy of data is a high-profile issue, especially in the health sector. You'll also learn about the wider legal and ethical systems in which public health operates.

We ensure that your learning is based in a real-world business context including an industry-driven research project. You'll also have access to real-life data through the IDI Analytics Lab.

A Master of Analytics in Health is a good fit if you:

  • already have a bachelor’s degree in a health-related subject
  • have passed a course in statistics or computing
  • want to increase your career prospects working with big data in the health industry.
