Entry requirements

Admission to this programme is open to students who have completed one of the following:

  • A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Education or close equivalent;
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Education, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Arts endorsed in Education;
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree followed by a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Education.

Students must have achieved a B grade average over the 200 and 300-level courses in Education.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (Education) structure

You will complete and pass courses to the value of at least 120 credits at 700-level from the BA(Hons) Education schedule. This qualification will be awarded with a class of honours.
Note: not all courses are available in each semester.


All requirements must be completed within one year for full-time study or within three years for part-time study.


Compulsory course (30 credits):
267.792 Research Exercise

plus 90 credits selected from courses listed on the programme schedule.

Note: For students proceeding to the MA, courses 267.782 and 267.783 are prerequisites for enrolment in Thesis courses 267.871 or 267.881.
