Entry requirements

Admission to this programme is open to students who have completed one of the following:

  • A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Politics or close equivalent;
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Politics, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Arts endorsed in Politics;
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree followed by a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Politics.

Students must have achieved a B grade average over the 200 and 300 level courses in Politics.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (Politics) structure

You complete and pass courses to the value of 120 credits at 700-level from the BA(Hons) Politics schedule, as shown below, with the research report usually taken as the final course. This qualification will be awarded with a class of Honours.

Note: not all courses are available in each semester.


All requirements must be completed within one year for full-time study or within three years for part-time study.


All courses are 30 credits each unless otherwise indicated.
