Requests for translation

Requests for translations are considered by the Kounga o te reo / Quality Assurance Sub Committee of the MLAG.

The translation service is only available for Massey staff for purposes outlined in the Māori Language Policy. There is a charge for the use of this service.

The timeframe and charges will depend on:

  • The length of the document
  • The complexity of the language (eg legal or technical terminology)
  • The level of consultation required (eg names of titles/ units, etc)
  • The status or risk associated with the usage (eg official publications)
  • The workload commitment of Subcommittee members

Requests should be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of the required date. Please contact the Convenor to discuss strategic or urgent translation requirements.
