Support for current doctoral students
We create an excellent experience for our doctoral students and provide great support. The Policy for Research Resources and Support for Post Graduate Research Candidates outlines the research and support available to you as a doctoral candidate at Massey.
Find out more about the various services available to you.
You will find all the information you need to successfully complete your doctoral study in the Research Services section of the online Massey University Research Library.
Doctoral Research Development Programme
This programme is designed to provide additional support and developmental opportunities to doctoral candidates in preparation for life post completion of their degree.
The Finding Theses page is a great resource to help you prepare and write your thesis. You will get access to every Masters and Doctoral thesis completed at Massey University, and information on how to access theses from other New Zealand universities.
A doctoral citation is required from all doctoral students who have completed the examination process. We cannot recommend the award of your degree or issue you with a completion letter without this.
Citations are used by the Graduation Office for the graduation programmes. They are posted on our website and may also be used for press releases.
Examples of doctoral citations
If you would like to read doctoral citations from students who have completed their study, go to the Student Profile Search. Make sure you change the filter for student type to Completed Students. You can also filter your search results by Department and Fields of Research.
Creating your own student profile
When you are enrolled you are given an online profile page. We strongly encourage you to complete this and update it as you progress through your candidacy. Please see examples of students’ profiles at different stages of their candidacy and tips on what to include here.
Our supervisors are active and well known in their fields of expertise. They provide students with the best support so they complete their research degrees successfully. Use our Find an expert using our Expertise search tool.
When you study with Massey University you become part of a large academic community.
