To connect various devices, a network needs to be established. To do this wirelessly, each device needs to have wireless connectivity. In some wireless networks, these devices also act as relays, extending the reach of the network by helping a wireless communication source to ferry data to more distant devices. Ms Zaidi examined existing relaying schemes and proposed a novel mechanism that incentivises network devices to relay data to other networked devices. She also discovered how to extend wireless cellular access to drones. She has provided valuable insight into how the efficiency of access mechanisms can improve relaying and connect devices of variant nature.
