Plantronics Savi Wireless Headset Support

  1. Charging your wireless headset

1. Charging your wireless headset

  1. Connect the power supply into the power jack on the charger base/cradle
  2. Plug the power supply into the power outlet
    You should now see a solid green light on the base of the charger
  3. Place the headset into the charger

Note 1: When the headset is charging, there will be a flashing white light on the headset. When the headset is fully charged, the headset will change to a solid light.

Note 2: Before you start using the headset, it is recommended you fully charge it. A full charge will take 3 hours. Minimum charge time is 20 minutes.

2. Turning your headset on and off

The headset does not have an on and off button.
If your battery is charged and connected the headset, the device will automatically be on.

3. Preserving your headsets battery life

Placing your headset in sleep mode

If you have the headset off the cradle, you can put the headset in sleep mode. See below:

  1. Press the Call button for three seconds until you see the headset flash white twice (button the side of the headset)

It is recommended you adjust the range setting to preserve battery life. In order to do this, you need to install the Plantronics Spokes software. See below:

    1. Start the Plantronics Control Panel
    2. Click the Device Settings button
    3. Click on the drop down menu next to Range and select Low

It is recommended, if you are using a Plantronics 440 Wireless, that you install the Plantronics Spokes software from the link below. Select Windows or Macintosh:

5. Second Incoming Call

When you are on a call and receive a second call, yourself and the person on the other line will be able to hear a beep on the wireless headset. You have the option of turning this off. See below:

  1. Open Plantronics software
  2. Click Plantronics Control Panel
  3. Click the Devices tab
  4. Under Set Default Softphone, use the Select Default Softphone drop-down menu
  5. Select Microsoft OC/Lync
  6. Under Devices, click Device Settings
  7. Click the Headset tab
  8. Set Second inbound call to Ignore
  9. Click Apply
  10. Click OK to close the Plantronics Control Panel window
