ITS manages the Massey Network, which allows for the transmission of electronic data.
A firewall is a security measure designed to block unauthorised access to a computer's network. All messages entering or leaving a network pass through the firewall.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to connect to Massey remotely and work from anywhere in the world as though you were in your office. You need to have an internet connection and access to the Massey Network.
Staff and postgraduate students can create and access a drive, which is shared on the Massey Network, with other staff and postgraduate students.
All staff and postgraduate students may access the Massey Network (internal computer system) with their staff or student login (usercode or Student ID). Network access provides access to email, internet, printers, and shared disk space for file/document backup.
ITS provides a wireless network service for use with wireless-capable laptops, smartphones, tablets and other devices.
