Roles and responsibilities

  • Teaching development
  • Work on research projects about the virtual student learning experience
  • Support staff with virtual learning environments
  • Evaluate innovations in teaching and learning
  • Support staff with the design, delivery and evaluation of ePortfolios to support student and lifelong learning
  • Support staff with advice on accessibility and tools for formative assessment.


I have a wide range of experience in helping lecturers use technology that adds value to their teaching. I have coordinated various e-learning projects. I was part of the team that developed the e-learning guidelines for New Zealand and worked on the Massey led project on tools for formative assessment. I have worked in the tertiary sector in New Zealand and in the UK where I was at the University of Edinburgh and then at the Aberdeen University.
