The My Mediasite Portal is where you go to manage, create, upload, edit, share and find individual URL/links to the presentations you have created or have been created using the Lecture Capture system (see FAQ What are Shared Folders?) where as the Catalog URL/link is what you copy and paste into Stream to share your entire collection of presentations.
NB: Presentations you have created within your My Mediasite Portal are private until you choose to share i.e. "Make Viewable".
The My Mediasite Portal is available to everyone but the ability to download and install the Mediasite Desktop Recorder is not generally available to students at this time.
If you can see this "Create Presentation" Button then you have already been granted access.
We do require you to fill in the Mediasite Desktop Recorder Request Form before we can consider or confirm your request. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you from the Stream Hotline when you have been granted access.
If you have requested Lecture Capture then you would have already been granted access to the Mediasite Desktop Recorder (see FAQ above to confirm).
To create a desktop recording, please follow this guide:
This is only possible on Windows PC (MACs need a third party app), but the necessary recording device may be hidden by default.
To enable the required recording device:
You should now be able to select the device in the Mediasite Desktop Recorder (See image below).
