Coming to the Recreation Centre will be different than previously.This is what our new normal will look like for now,
No entry to persons with any of the following: • Currently exhibiting a fever, or any other common symptoms of CV-19 symptoms. • Currently in quarantine or isolation by the NZ government. • Knowingly been recently (in the last 14 days) exposed to a person with CV-19.
If you have any underlying health conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes or obesity) or over the age of 70 you are at higher risk with COVID 19. So entering our facility is done at your own risk and if you choose to stay away then we are happy to hold your membership till we reach level 1. Just email Millie at email@example.com to extend your membership hold.
To ensure the safety of everyone using our facility you will need to abide by the following:
- Hands must be washed or sanitized before entering our facility - You must scan your membership card at reception on entry - You will need to keep a 2 metre distance from others in the facility - Workout towels are compulsory as always - All equipment must be wiped down before sharing with others. - When attending a group fitness class you will need to stay in your allocated area to ensure physical distancing. - Yoga classes, you will need to bring your own mat and other props needed as we will not allow equipment sharing as previously done. - Cough and sneeze into your elbow. - Water cooler's will be shut off, so bring your own drink bottle from home.
On the 18th of May our Health & Fitness studio (gym) and Group Fitness classes will be open again. However our Sports Hall will remain closed till further notice. We will also not being offering programmes initially and will review this in coming weeks. This allows us to ensure the safety and comfort of you, our valued members, before we allow public use of our facility again.
All memberships we be extended for the time we have been closed and direct debit payments will resume on the 18th of May. We are really looking forward to seeing you again and getting your fitness goals back on track.
