Health + Counselling is a Not-for-Profit Service

  • We do run as a business which means we have a budget
  • We need you to pay your accounts on time so we can keep the service going and keep the fees low for you.
  • We do need to pursue debt if you don’t pay your account or fail to let us know of any difficulties.
  • We have a responsibility to all students to ensure that we are financially responsible as you contribute significantly to the cost of running Student Health & Counselling.

DNA (Did Not Attend) Charge for Missed Appointments

ALL patients/clients who fail to attend their booked appointment with a Doctor, Nurse, Counsellor or Dietitian will incur a DNA (Did Not Attend) charge if they do not cancel within a minimum of 2 hours prior to their appointment. Cancellations can be made by email, phone or text.  If a cancellation is not received within the timeframe, you will be charged a fee of $10.  This must be paid at the time it is charged or before your next appointment.  Failure to not attend a booked appointment results in other patients/clients unable to see our staff when needed.

Help with Account Payments

We recognise that sometimes you won’t always have "ready cash" - especially if you’re waiting for your loan or allowance to come through.

  • If necessary we can give you details of the University Student Assistance Fund, which helps students with financial difficulties.
