Memorials at Massey

The Massey family has been in existence since 1926, starting out as an agricultural college in Palmerston North.  From these humble beginnings, the university has grown and expanded into three cities, Palmerston North, Auckland and Wellington.

During this time, the university has seen many students, staff, friends and family travel through its doors.  Throughout the years, friends and family have made requests for personalised remembrance and memorial messages to be sited on the campuses for individuals and groups connected to the university.  These memorials, located in particular areas on each campus, can take the form of a tree, street furniture or a plaque attached to a rock or other object.

The campus links below will take you to the current memorials on each campus and the locations where future memorials can be sited. The memorial policy will advise on the procedure to request a memorial and what is deemed appropriate to have.

The Albany campus is located on Auckland's North Shore.

The Manawatū campus is situated in Palmerston North.

The Wellington campus is nestled in Wellington's city centre.
