Challenges Abroad is a social enterprise providing students with the opportunity to gain international exposure while helping marginalised communities around the world and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
Their Virtual Internship is suited to students who wish to develop their skills, set themselves apart from the crowd and contribute to international social impact. Students can choose between a 3-week full time or 5-week part-time internship which can be taken in Cambodia or Nepal within the following areas:
Interns will connect with people from around the world, attend professional development workshops, engage with experts in their field, and be supported by their own mentor throughout the programme. Interns will receive and certificate as well as a professional recommendation on LinkedIn from their mentor upon completion of the programme.
Massey University’s membership in the ISEP consortium gives you access to semester and Northern Hemisphere summer virtual internships in a number of countries through The Intern Group. Internship placements are in English and your internship can take place during your time at Massey or after you graduate. There are options for earning credit that may transfer back to your Massey degree.
Students wanting to gain global work experience can complete an internship from home, working 20-30 hours per week for one to three months. Students are guaranteed an online internship placement in one of their career fields and students can focus on one country or multiple countries for placement options.
This is an entirely remote opportunity for students to gain real-world experience and support the development of Fijian government ministries, social enterprises and NGOs, all whilst contributing towards Fiji's National Development Plan & UN Sustainable Development Goals. You can participate in a four, eight, or twelve-week programme.
150 fully-funded places are available for the Fiji remote internship programmes taking place between November and February 2020. Through this unique opportunity Think Pacific and our partners aim to foster global understanding, contribute to international development and increase relationships between the Fiji Islands and global university students.
Virtual Journeys offers the opportunity to engage with dynamic industry professionals from around the world. Participants will participate in live webinars, gain crucial insights into the global design industry, be inspired by real-life success stories, and see first-hand how designs are created, materials are made, and products are manufactured.
Each Journey will focus on a particular topic (with the content and duration of these journeys customisable to compliment your curriculum.)
Journey's will be split into weekly sessions, each hosted by an industry professional presenting their view on the topic. Sessions will last an hour and will be split roughly by 40 minutes of “presenting” (in an informal and intimate style) and 20 minutes of Q&A.
