All graduation and related events with over 200 people in attendance can only be held if the region is at Green or Orange. All graduands, whānau, friends and staff attending the ceremony and celebrations will need to adhere to the university’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.

Graduation related events

Graduation events are held in addition to your ceremony.

Graduation events will be held each day (pending fine weather) to provide you with the opportunity to celebrate your achievements with your whanau, friends and teaching staff. These will be held on The Promenade, Takapuna outside the Bruce Mason Centre where light refreshments will be provided.

Times

Times for Auckland graduation related events are as follows:

  • 10.30am to 11.30am: Ceremonies 1 and 2, Ceremonies 4 and 5, and Ceremonies 7 and 8
  • 2.30pm to 3.30pm: Ceremonies 2 and 3, and Ceremonies 5 and 6

Graduands attending ceremonies 2 and 5 are able to attend their choice of Graduation related event, either before or after their ceremony.

Processions

If the weather is fine there will be a graduation procession following the graduation related event. All those receiving awards should participate in this traditional part of graduation. Whānau and friends of Graduands are invited to take photographs and cheer on the procession.

  • Ceremony 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 Please assemble at 11.30am on The Promenade outside the Bruce Mason Centre
  • Ceremony 2, 3, 5, 6 Please assemble at 3.30pm on The Promenade outside the Bruce Mason Centre

Those attending ceremonies 2 and 5 are able to take part in the procession before or after their ceremony.
