Orientation week - beginning 10 July 2024

Kia ora! Welcome to Massey University. You're about to begin an exciting new chapter in your life, and we know it can be a lot to take in, so before you start your semester take part in Orientation. During Orientation, we'll have events and resources to help you get prepared. Whether you're a distance student studying in New Zealand or overseas or an on-campus student joining us for the first time, we have you covered.

This year is all about connections, so come along and meet your classmates and the Massey team who will support, encourage and teach you. We are with you every step of the way.

If you're studying at Auckland, Manawatū (Palmerston North) or Wellington campus, come to Orientation week to prepare for your study at Massey.

You’ll find out important academic information, learn about our support services, meet other new students and have some fun before starting your study.

There are also chances to win prizes and get free kai!

Distance Orientation

Our Distance Orientation is designed specifically for new students studying online.

You'll learn about life as an online student, the support available and how to access online learning systems. During Orientation, you'll also have the opportunity to meet other students, just like you, who are studying with Massey as a distance student.

Prep 4 study

Prep 4 Study is your interactive guide to starting university on Stream. It's for both online and on-campus students and includes:

  • easy-to-use academic resources
  • personalised study advice
  • opportunities to engage and ask questions online.
