How to Apply

Submitting an application form

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

  • The scholarship page will outline if it is an online process, or whether you will need to fill out and submit a pdf document.
  • Online -  in most circumstances you will first need to apply to the university for the programme you wish to study first. When you are accepted for this programme and receive your Offer of Place (this is not enrolment, but the step before that), you will be able to log in to the Massey student portal where you can apply for the scholarship on the ‘Scholarships’ tab.
  • In some cases, such as PhD and doctorate scholarships, or if a scholarship is funded by an organisation outside of Massey, you will be presented with a pdf form on the scholarship page. You need to fill this out and send it back as per instructions on the pdf form. If this is the case please ensure you write clearly in black pen and provide all the information requested.

CURRENT STUDENTS

  • Find a scholarship you wish to apply for on the scholarships search page and make a note of the scholarship/s you are interested in.
  • Log in to the student portal and go to the scholarships tab. You can find the scholarship/s you wish to apply for there and apply online.
  • Note: if you wish to apply for a PhD/doctorate this process takes place outside of the student portal. You will likely be required to fill out a form provided as a pdf. Search for the doctorate scholarship you wish to apply for through the scholarships search and that webpage will clarify the application process and include pdf forms if necessary for that particular scholarship.
  • Information on scholarships & bursaries is available from scholarships notice board in the foyer of the Social Sciences Lecture Block, Turitea, and other notice boards around campuses.

Changing your application or checking process

Your scholarship applications submitted through the portal will be saved in that system. When you log in you can update any saved applications there. All notifications to you about your submission will also be communicated to you through the portal.
