The funds for this award are provided by the Loman Friedlander family.
The Award is made annually and there is a prize of $1,000 to the person who submits the best paper on any subject falling within the general area of Intellectual Property Law (i.e. patents, trade marks, registered designs, copyright passing off). The Award is made only if an entry of sufficient standard is received.
The Award is open to any tertiary student, with no age limits.
Papers should be between 5,000-10,000 words and must be forwarded to The Secretary, New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys Inc. PO Box 5116, Wellington 6140 before 30 November in each year.
Application cannot be accepted before 30/08/2017.
