Bursaries for post-graduate students have been established by Massey University from funds provided by the Bailey Bequest. The bursary is intended to support students who suffer general hardship or unforeseen changes in their financial circumstances during the course of their post-graduate programme of study.
The Bailey Bequest bursary shall have a value of up to $3,000 per annum and be awarded as funds permit.
The bursary is open to part-time or full-time students of Massey University who are enrolled internally or extramurally, for a postgraduate programme, at any of the Massey University campuses.
Selection shall be based on evidence of hardship. Applications must be supported by a supervisor, HOD or other academic mentor who is familiar with the applicant's circumstances.
The bursary shall be awarded by the Scholarships Committee.
Conditions of the Award
The Scholarships Committee may refrain from recommending an award at anytime.
An award may be held once only.
The emolument will be paid in one instalment.

Applications close normally for general hardship 21 April each year. Students whose circumstances change unforeseeably may however, make an application for this bursary at any time.
Applications will NOT be accepted more than 3 months in advance of the closing date unless it is clearly marked as "Circumstances changed unforeseeably".
