Bootten Bequest Bursaries

Bootten Bequest Bursaries are available to full time Massey University students in their first year of an undergraduate degree who are in difficult financial situation. Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship, and have a good academic record.

Dreamfields Farm Agricultural Scholarship

Applications open from 10 December. Open to candidates who have attended a secondary school from the Whakatane District, with preference given to students from Edgecumbe College and are in their first year of study. They must be undertaking a degree in agriculture at Massey University

Gosling Ornamental Horticulture Bursary

Applications open from 10 December. For students enrolled full-time for a degree in horticulture at Massey University. Applicants must show in their application that they are interested in pursuing a career in growing ornamental plants, either in the nursery industry, cut-flower production or management of parks.

Ormond Meat Marketing Scholarship

Applications open from 10 December. Open to Massey University students who are preferably enrolled full-time for the Bachelor of AgriCommerce degree, though some Bachelor of AgriScience students may also be eligible. Preference will be given to applicants who are following a career path into agribusiness and the meat industry.

Peter Collett Extramural Bursary

The Peter Collett Extramural Bursary provides assistance to extramural students in financial need who have successfully completed at least 30 credits and are continuing to study extramurally in a first undergraduate degree at Massey University.

Peter Densem Undergraduate Scholarship

Putaruru Veterinary Club Education Trust

Available to descendants of the 1953 landowners of the Tasman Mill site who are continuing their education at tertiary level particularly engineering and applied science. The award may be made for following years dependent on achievement of good results.

Taranaki Scholarships

For students who have attended a school in the Taranaki Province for the previous two years and have obtained a minimum of 95 credits in Level 3 NCEA examinations. All qualifying students are mailed applications. Applications close one month after the mailing date.

Te Arawa Scholarships

The Henry Rongomau Bennett Foundation Maori Leadership in Health Scholarships

Thornton Memorial Dairy Bursary

Applications open from 10 December. Open to MU students enrolled full-time for the agriculture major in the BAppliSc, BAgriSci or the BSc degree who have completed their 1st year of the degree. Students in Years 2 & 3 of the BAgriCommerce will also be considered if they can show a genuine interest in dairy farming.

Travel & Accommodation Assistance Fund

The Travel & Accommodation Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to students selected to represent their country in their chosen sport at an international event.

Violet Wickham Memorial Bursary
Closing date: 03/03/2019   
The purpose of this bursary is to financially support New Zealand-born Massey University students studying agriculture who have completed the first year of their undergraduate degree, are achieving at a high level academically (at least a B average) and wish to continue study, but may be unable to do this due to financial hardship.

Wairakei Charitable Trust
