Study abroad scholarships and fees

US citizens or residents can apply for a US $2,000 travel award to help with flights to New Zealand and US $500 towards study abroad or student exchange at Massey University.  The eligibility requirements and application materials are available on the Education New Zealand site.

Scholarships for EU citizens and residents

Massey offers three NZD$4,000 Dream NEW Scholarships for European Union students.  The funds can be used to attend Massey University during Semester One or Two 2018 as a study abroad student.  You have until 1 September 2017 to apply.

Funding for German students

IEC Online and Deutsche Bildung have partnered to offer EUR 3,000 - 30.000 in funding for German students to study here.  The financial support programme is available for study abroad and full-degree students.

Study Abroad fee

Massey's study abroad programme has a fixed tuition fee based on a normal full-time course load of 60 credits of study per semester for undergraduate or postgraduate study.

2018 programme fee:  NZ $12,070

Please note:

  • The fee is quoted in New Zealand dollars and includes Goods and Services Tax.
  • A transcript being sent to your home institution or third-party provider at the end of the semester is included in the fee.
  • The fee does not include non-tuition fees, course component fees, insurance, textbooks and supplies, or living expenses.
  • Course component fees, if applicable, are listed in the course descriptions and are payable at the start of the semester.
  • The programme fee remains the same if you enrol in less than 60 credits.
