Massey University has been named as New Zealand’s first “Athlete Friendly” University due to its support for student athletes. The Massey University Sport and Recreation Centre on the Palmerston North campus and the Massey University Academy of Sport offer a unique package of services for Study Abroad and Exchange students in 2017.
GSA - Elite Sport Services enables you to participate in a semester abroad in New Zealand and have access to fantastic facilities and activities run by internationally recognised experts, delivered within a New Zealand sporting context.
The programme is available to students studying for one or two semesters.
You will have access to the following opportunities and events designed for high-performance athletes as part of GSA – Elite Sport Services.

Access to a complete range of group exercise and fitness classes
Two workshops are included in the fee. The topics of our advanced workshops may vary across semesters. Examples include:

If purchased individually, these components would cost approximately NZ $1,000.
Admission into the programme involves two separate applications. First, you will apply to study at Massey on our study abroad or exchange programme or on our Intensive English course.
You will then submit your GSA Application. Once you are approved, we will enrol you in your Massey courses and in the Global Student Athlete programme. You must complete the admission part of the application process before your enrolment can be confirmed.
Craig Lyons is available to answer any questions you have about GSA - Elite Sport Services.
