Massey University offers a summer study abroad programme for a wide range of majors. The program takes place over the Northern Hemisphere summer and is equivalent to 6 - 8 U.S. semester credits, 15 ECTS and 30 CATS. Each track begins with a two-week study tour of New Zealand, starting in May or June, and finishes with a four-week internship.
High performing male and female athletes can enhance their skills, continue their training and conditioning, receive intensive coaching, and play with professional players while studying at Massey University for one or two semesters. You will return home stronger, faster, and in better shape than when you left. Your international experience will strengthen you as an athlete and student, as well as making you more marketable in the future.
Placements focusing on Massey’s study abroad and student exchange programmes are available through the International Relations Office during semester 1 and 2. Interns will work alongside the Student Mobility team in developing materials and strategies to increase the number of Massey students going out on exchange and recruit international students to study here.
This semester-long internship is only available on the Manawatu campus. 15 Massey University credits will be awarded through the Communication Internship, which will serve as one of the courses you take during the semester. Please email us if you are interested in a placement.
