Ministry of Education subsidies for education courses

The Ministry of Education's Tertiary Fees Funding Support scheme supports primary and intermediate teachers to study key areas of learning and teaching.

The scheme aims to:

  • build on the work started in Ministry professional development programmes for teachers
  • further develop teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge and understanding in literacy and numeracy
  • support schools’ efforts to raise the achievement of all their students through increasing the expertise and knowledge of their teachers.

Individuals or schools can apply to the Ministry of Education for reimbursement of up to 50% of the tuition fees.
