Massey University's Bachelor of Education degree is one of New Zealand's longest-standing and most respected professional qualifications for teachers, tutors and educators.
The programme is relevant for practising teachers in early childhood settings, primary and secondary schools, in polytechnics and in other community-based educational settings.
Generous credit provisions are available for registered teachers seeking to upgrade their Diploma of Teaching to degree status.
Note: The Bachelor of Education degree is not a pathway to teacher registration. Students seeking registration as a teacher should hold an undergraduate degree and apply for a Graduate Diploma of Teaching qualification.
"A bachelor's degree is the minimum qualification expected for today's teachers. The Massey University Bachelor of Education degree contributes to the enrichment of the learning environment and prepares its graduates for roles in leadership and management in the teaching profession."
