Parking for bikes
Bike racks are located on the south side of the Museum Building, the south side of Block 1, and the north side of Block 5. New covered bike parking is coming soon.

Changing facilities and showers can be found at:
BPM Gym, Recreation Centre, Museum Building room 10A97
- changing room and shower for Exercise Science
- both in spaces used for other purposes so access may be limited
- in men’s bathroom
- staff office area
- staff office area
- to be removed with toilet upgrade

Student car parking

Pay and display car parking is available to students on King Street and by the Museum Building (Block 10). The cost is $1.00 per hour. You also need to display a valid student dashboard pass. These are available without charge from Student Central (Ground Floor, Block 4). Students may also use available car parks in the staff parking areas on weekends and public holidays, and after 5:00 pm on a daily basis. At other times you may be towed. If you think you have been towed, contact CarePark Ltd, 388-9681.

Lower Level, King Street/Museum Building, Entrance D—Pay and display machines

These pay and display parking areas are available to all Massey students displaying a pay and display ticket and a student dashboard pass from Student Central. 

  • Rates are $1.00 per hour, and there are no time limits. 
  • Remember to ensure your student dashboard permit and pay and display ticket are displayed on the front dashboard of your vehicle so that our car park security and audit person knows that you have parked and paid correctly. 
  • No penalties will be imposed if you do not exceed the expiry time on your ticket by more than 15 minutes. Exceeding this time could result in the issuance of a payment notice for $30.00. 
  • The upper level of the King Street parking area is for semester permit holders only. If you park there using a pay and display ticket, you could be issued with a $30.00 payment notice.

Upper Level, King Street/60 Tasman Street Parking—Permit holders only

There are a limited number of student parking permits available each semester.

Contact CarePark Ltd to apply for a semester permit to use the upper level of the King Street parking area and the 60 Tasman Street parking area. The cost is $120 per semester. You will be notified if your application is successful, and your new dashboard permit will be available to be paid for and collected at Student Central. Application forms are also available at Student Central.

Please note that if CarePark Ltd does not receive your returned application by the stated deadline, it will be assumed that you don't require a park, and it will be offered to another applicant.

Please remember the following when parking in the permit holder area:

  • The dash display permit must be displayed on your dashboard at all times while using the car park. 
  • The permit holder areas are the top level of the King Street parking area and the 60 Tasman Street parking area only. 
  • Vehicles found parking on the incorrect level or failing to display a dash display permit card will be issued with a payment notice of $30.00. Repeat offenders may be clamped or towed and will then be required to pay outstanding payment notices/clamping fee or towage before the vehicle will be released.

Visitor car parking

Visitors displaying valid parking permits may park in available staff car parks in Entrances A, B and C on Wallace Street, Entrances E and F on Tasman Street and Entrance D on Buckle Street. Temporary parking permits are available from the Facilities Management Help Desk located on the Ground Floor Mezzanine, Block 5. A limited number of reserved parking spaces in Entrance E, Tasman Street may be booked in advance through the Facilities Management Help Desk, 04 801 5799 x 63333, email Pay and display parking is available for visitors by the Museum Building, Entrance D (Buckle Street). One-hour pay and display parking is available in Entrance A (Wallace Street).

Failure to display an appropriate permit may result in the issuing of a $50.00 payment notice by CarePark Ltd.
