- 1 Use the product development process to the development of packaging systems.
- 2 Explain how packaging and marketing interact and why marketing is important to package development.
- 3 Apply research techniques to investigate packaging users, retailers and consumers and integrate this information into packaging development.
- 4 Use different idea generation methods, to develop innovative packaging solutions.
- 5 Apply methods for screening these ideas to find those best suited to the end users and their requirements.
- 6 Define graphic design and its application to packaging design, and use 2-D drawing to create drawings of a concept packaging system.
