There are a number of criteria that must be met to be eligible for a US federal or education loan:
While you may be an eligible student, the amount of loans you can borrow is dependent on the type of loan and its annual and aggregate limit, your expected family contribution, your cost of attendance and any other aid you may be receiving.
To be eligible for a US federal or education loan you must meet the following requirements:
You must be enrolled at least half time, i.e. 30 credits per semester/60 credits per academic year, in an eligible programme.
Massey University's Bachelor degrees are eligible programmes at Undergraduate level, and our Masters and PhD degrees are eligible programmes at Postgraduate level.
The Bachelor of Veterinary Science is recognised as a Graduate/Professional programme for students who have successfully completed the equivalent of an undergraduate degree prior.
Students enrolled in and online programme are not eligible to received Federal Aid loans.
Students enrolled in graduate and postgraduate diplomas are not eligible for Federal Aid loans and have to finance their study through a Private Loan or other private funding.

Massey University students must maintain satisfactory academic progress to remain eligible for a loan. You can find out more by reading the US Financial Aid Policy.
Students must complete all steps in the application process within the timeframes to receive financial aid, and must comply with all requirements relating to communication and confirmation of disbursements.
