Since graduating in 2010 Chuo-Sheng Leong has enjoyed a varied career in the aviation industry, starting work with Korean Air Lines at their Southeast Asia & Oceania Regional Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur on March 2011.
He was involved in marketing activities for Indonesia, the Philippines, Guam, Palau, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In addition, he handled the airline's electronic transactions database as well as the business information systems and dealt with corporate accounts and sales in the region.
In mid-June 2013, he began work with the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) in Kuala Lumpur, a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that aims to promote Asia Pacific aviation. Today he is the Senior Associate - Industry Affairs and deals with air services liberalisation, passenger rights and airport slots issues. He also keeps abreast of European Union and ASEAN developments in aviation.
“For both positions, the learning and experience Massey provided was (and still is) invaluable in my daily duties. Having a distinct understanding on how the industry works, both behind the scenes and how governmental oversight affects it, have made it the perfect tool in which I am able to contribute to my work."
“This can only come from a specialised degree and education offered by the Bachelor in Aviation Management (BAvMan) and with Honours (BAvMan Hons)."
“I feel that in order to fully realise the benefits of this degree, one must have the passion for all things aviation. There's a saying in the industry - 'Once you get in, you never want to leave.'”
