If you'd like to look at items in our Special Collections or in the University Archives, but you can't visit us in person, you can use our Virtual Reading Room (VRR) service. Using the VRR service, you can book an appointment to look at items remotely, no matter where you are.
Discuss the material you would like to see with us when you make the booking. During the VRR session, we’ll go through the material at your direction while you view the item on the screen.
- These appointments use a special cameras and video conferencing to view items.
- You can book 1-hour appointments.
- The service is free.
- Your appointment will be facilitated by an Archives or Special Collections staff member using an onsite visualiser.
- Your appointment will take place on Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Anyone can book an appointment, whether you are a Massey University student or staff member or not.
