“The concepts that I learned from my PGDip have been interesting and have been used in various ways in my current role, such as branding of programmes and communication to stakeholders....”

Receiving a Massey Scholarship was the deciding factor for me to choose Massey University.

I was familiar with the Massey system after completing a BBS at Albany previously. The Maori Learning Support which was available was another strong plus. My only hesitation about choosing Massey was the perception of Massey’s reputation compared to other institutions such as Auckland University.

As an Extramural student I had no involvement with anything other than the papers I was enrolled in and some course related correspondence with lecturers or feedback from assignments. The support I did receive was of a personal nature from the Maori Support on Massey Albany (through email/phone).

The concepts that I learned from my PGDip have been interesting and have been used in various ways in my current role, such as branding of programmes and communication to stakeholders.

My recommendations to other students are to enjoy the challenge and be willing and able to be self-driven to achieve the results that you want.
