Eretmocerus warrae is a specialist parasitoid of the greenhouse whitefly, which is a major pest of glasshouse crops (such as tomato and eggplant) throughout the world. Mr Hanan’s research focused on determining the factors that affect the feeding and parasitisation behaviour of E.warrae. His findings will help improve the mass rearing techniques for, and applications of, this parasitoid in greenhouse and field environments.
